Configuring iSeries Navigator to use SSL

Configuring iSeries Navigator to use SSL:

 

 

 

Click on Secure Sockets

Click on  Download.

 

 

Password is ca400 (it is case sensitive).

 

 

C lick ok.

Click on “Use Secure Sockets Layer and click ok.

 

 

You will get a message – click ok. 

 

Close down ops nav and reopen – you should see a little lock symbol by your system name.

 

 

Then go configure your sessions (including the printer session).  Open each session and click on Communication, Configure.

 

 

By the system name, click properties.

 

 

Make sure the “Use Secured Sockets Layer” box is checked.   Click ok.  Name the session and make any changes.   Be sure to do a File, Save to save your changes.  When you start the session, look in the lower left hand corner – the lock should appear as below:
