Limit Capabilities

Limit Capabilities

Limiting capabilities of users - no commands on command line (except 6)

WRKUSRPRF, option 2 by the user to change:

Check the parameter for initial menu – change to *SIGNOFF

The screen to the right shows what happens when the user exits their main application (ISIS or Sartox) by pressing the F3 key – it does NOT take the user to a menu

Change the limit capabilities parameter to *YES – this only allows for a limited number of commands (signoff, dspjoblog, sndmsg, dspmsg, strpco, dspjob)

When the user tries to issue a command that is not in the above list, an error message is generated.

If it is desired to then grant individual users some access to certain commands, call the supportdesk or email supportdesk@app-garden.com.
